Reservoir Exploration Technology ASA (RXT) is the only geophysical company focusing on multi-component seismic seafloor acquisition. Multi-component data provide superior subsurface resolution than can be attained with towed streamers and in a number of geological settings solves imaging challenges that cannot be resolved using conventional acquisition methods. Increasingly oil companies are using multi-component surveys to improve recovery from existing fields and to provide enhanced data quality for exploration. Our technology delivers long offset and multi-azimuth/wide-azimuth data solutions which are impractical, if not impossible, to acquire with towed streamers in congested production areas and/or shallow water. Our radical buoy based systems and advanced back deck designs, coupled with the best sensor characteristics in the industry, deliver the highest data quality at lower cost with reduced HSE risk than traditional technology.
With the announced plans to develop cable based transient CSEM for commercial operation in Q1 2009, RXT are uniquely placed to offer the widest range of multi-component - seismic and EM - data in the industry.
From its headquarters in Oslo, RXT operates a fleet of three seismic crews, which will be doubled by early 2009. With more than 300 employees from all over the world, the company is expanding rapidly. In response to this we are now seeking to fill the following positions:
