THOMAS R. BATES

(born 1949), Chair of the Board.

Mr. Bates is a Senior Advisor of Lime Rock. He joined Lime Rock in 2001, and was a as Managing Director of the firm until 2010. Prior to joining Lime Rock, Mr. Bates served from 1998 through 2000 as president of the Discovery group of Baker Hughes (Western Geophysical, Baker Atlas and Baker Hughes Inteq) and was responsible for the integration of Western Atlas into Baker Hughes. Earlier, he served as President and CEO of Weatherford Enterra and was responsible in 1998 for its sale to EVI in the third largest oil service merger ever completed at that time. Previously, Mr. Bates spent 15 years with Schlumberger in both domestic and international locations.

Mr. Bates was responsible for the Sedco-Forex rig fleet in the North Sea from 1986 through 1990 and in the Asia/Middle East region from 1990 through 1992. Mr. Bates is a US citizen and resides in the US.

 

THORHILD WIDVEY
(born 1956), Board Member.
Mrs.Thorild Widvey replaced Michael Scott as Board member 18 April 2006. Mrs. Widvey has extensive political experience, and has been Member of the Parliament for Norway, State Secretary at the Ministry of Fishery and Coastal affairs and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been Minister of Petroleum and Energy.  Mrs. Widvey is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.

KRISTEN JAKOBSEN
(born 1964), Board Member.
Mr. Jakobsen was one of the founders of Pareto Securities in 1992, were he was Head of Research until 2000 and CEO from 2000 to 2006. Today Mr. Jakobsen is an independent investor and financial advisor. Prior to 1992 he was a stock analyst for Sundal Collier Montagu and a consultant for the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Mr. Jakobsen is also a member of the Board of Pareto AS and On & Offshore ASA. Mr. Jakobsen is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.

EVA VON HIRSCH
(born 1950), Board Member.
Dr. Von Hirsch has a Ph.D. in social anthropology from Durham University, UK. Her area of expertise lies mainly within the field of organizational culture, cross-cultural leadership, international decision-making and negotiation-strategies, as well as cultural aspects on mergers and acquisitions. Dr.von Hirsch is co-owner and executive Director of Telecom Management Company (TMP), founded in 2005, a former subsidiary company of Telenor. Dr.von Hirsch is also a member of the Board of Norwegian Refugee Council, SIMI (Scandinavian International Management Institute, Copenhagen), Telecom Management Partner AS and Aker Drilling AS. Dr.von Hirsch is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Norway.

PIERGIORIO LO GRECO

(born 1972), Board member.

Mr. Lo Greco joined Cheyne Capital Management as a Portfolio Manager in 2008. Prior to that he was at Arcapita Limited,
a $18bn private equity fund, where he oversaw investments in the energy sector. Mr. Lo Greco is an Italian citizen and resides in the UK.
